Blake Lively's top 3 fashion tips to follow ASAP

By Alexandre Marain

Blake Lively doesn't have to worry about being outshined by Serena Van Der Woodsen, the character she played in the now cult 2000s series, Gossip Girl. From the classic suit, which she considers a wardrobe staple, to bright colors and the monochrome trend, here are 3 fashion tips from Blake Lively to put to work as soon as possible.

What does the businesswoman look like in 2022? The answer is simply… Blake Lively. The actress embodies the modern-day executive woman, especially through her fashion choices. Case in point is her orange look, reminiscent of something Samantha Jones might have worn in Sex and the City during the 90s. For evening events, she champions the suit in a chic and striking manner, opting for more muted colors.

Her motto? Don't hesitate to add color to your outfits! Whether she's wearing a broad coat or a cinched mini dress, Blake Lively swears by vibrant colors. A recent example was at Gigi Hadid's birthday party. In a form-fitting fuchsia outfit by Sergio Hudson, paired with a red clutch that matched her heels, the actress channeled her Gossip Girl character, Serena Van Der Woodsen.

While some celebrities like Victoria Beckham are all about color-blocking, others, like Blake Lively, are betting on the monochrome trend. Icy blue, emerald green, sandy beige... For the 35-year-old actress, solid colors are synonymous with elegance.
